CARACAS CALENDAR
Caracas offers a variety of cultural events, including ballet, symphony and theater performances throughout most of the year. Many of these events take place at the imposing Teresa Carreno Cultural Complex. Horse racing, baseball and soccer, the city's most popular spectator sports, offer a different kind of entertainment. Caracas isn't known for its festivals, but Carnival and Holy Week are celebrated throughout the city. The popular Iberoamerican Art Fair, featuring the work of the best Latin American painters and sculptors, is usually held in late June. The International Theater Festival, which attracts actors and theater companies from around the world, is held every other year.
To call any of the numbers listed in this calendar from outside Venezuela, you must first dial your country's international access code, then Venezuela's country code, 58, followed by Caracas' city code, 212, and from outside of Caracas, preceded by 0212.
