MUSEUM ARTURO MICHELENA
Arturo Michelena Museum is located in a house in the late eighteenth century - beginning of the nineteenth century, situated in the Parish La Pastora. It painter born in Valencia, took her study. A painter's death, which occurred when only had 35 years, his widow, Mrs. Lastenia Tello of Michelena, was devoted to recover works of Michelena and donated to the Nation, by testamentary legacy, the property, such works and furniture is displayed in the two plants that make up the museum.
The Museum of Pastor, as he is known in the area, officially opened its doors to the public on June 16, 1963 and was declared a National Historic Monument on March 31, 1977 by the National Board Protector and Conservative Heritage National Historical.
The permanent exhibition is a sample, as we said, of his paintings, sketches, drawings and drafts. On the second floor of the museum visitors will find also paintings by important artists like Matthew Manaure, Pascual Navarro, Alejandro Otero, and so on.
In Fundamam Extension Conference Room, located a few metres from the museum, are conducted several exhibitions, and one block away (apple) is the Board of workshops, where the teaching activities are carried out,
Additionally, at the entrance there is a small space where operates a shop where you can buy posters of the works of Michelena, the publications made by the Museum, and a number of miscellaneous items.
