One of the major museums in Caracas is the MACCSI (Museum of Contemporary Art in Caracas Sofia Imber). On February 20, 1974 opened its doors to the public and since then has presented exhibitions of national and international artists of all genres: painting, sculpture, drawing, film, video and photography.

Located in Central Park, near the Teresa Carreno Theater, is a building that houses pieces of the highest quality distributed among its seventeen rooms. It also has a cabinet paper, a very comprehensive library specializing in art, a workshop on creativity, a place roofed, multimedia room, a gallery and a spectacular garden sculptures. It also offers a shop, a bookstore and a coffee shop.

It is a major cultural center enjoys great international prestige and conducts exchange programs with major international institutions. Your estate consists of more than 3,000 works of recognized artists, such as we mention The Odalisca with red pants for Henri Matisse, Lesson Sky Joan Miro, Portrait of Dora Maar by Pablo Picasso.
